The people behind a Mexican restaurant southwest of Boston will be opening a new location, with this one being much closer to the city.
According to a Facebook post from The Waltham Channel, Monarca Taqueria is planning to open in Waltham's downtown area, taking over the space on Main Street that had been home to Gustazo before it moved to Moody Street. Ramiro and Raquel Marin, who own a location of Monarca Taqueria in Milford, indicate that "This is more like fast food, not a full restaurant" though it does plan to have a full liquor license.
Based on the Milford location, the upcoming Monarca Taqueria could be offering such items as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, bowls, and churros.
The address for the upcoming location of Monarca Taqueria in Waltham is 663 Main Street, Waltham, MA, 02451. The website for the Milford location is at https://themonarcataqueria.com/
