It looks like a new dining and drinking spot may be on its way to South Boston.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website, Mother's East Tavern is planning to open in Southie, moving into a space on Dorchester Avenue where it splits with Old Colony Avenue. The notice mentions that the place looks to have a single dining room with two banquettes and a bar that has 15 stools, and the manager listed is Alec Barber Grossi, who had been a bar manager and bartender at several restaurants and bars in California and the New Orleans area, according to his LinkedIn page.
The address for the proposed Mother's East Tavern is 289 Dorchester Avenue, South Boston, MA, 02127. Its Instagram page can be found at https://www.instagram.com/motherseasttavern/
