A neighborhood market in East Boston that offers specialty provisions along with everyday essentials is shutting down.
According to a source, EBO & Co. Grocery on Meridian Street is closing its doors, with an Instagram post from owner Alexis Cervasio saying the following:
After so much meticulous thought, I have decided to not sign another lease here....we will be closed from Aug 23-Sept 1...and then we will re-open on Sept 2 for a power month of oysters, croissants, caviar, wine and definitely some parties....Our last day operating will fall on the last week of September.
The note does mention that Cervasio will continue on with East Boston Oysters (which is known for its popup events in secret locations) and she also says that "We have some other good news for the Eastie neighborhood that we can't reveal yet."
EBO & Co. Grocery first opened in the latter part of 2021; the store offers such items as oysters, caviar, cheese, bread, eggs, milk, produce, wine, and more.
The address for EBO & Co. Grocery is 110 Meridian Street, East Boston, MA, 02128. Its website can be found at https://www.ebogrocery.com/
