A pair of local food shops known in part for their maple creemees may be expanding to a third location, and this would be their second in Cambridge.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Momma's is looking to open near Inman Square, with the Cambridge Somerville Independent stating (via a page within the cambridgeredevelopment.org website) that it is looking to open on Cambridge Street in the Wellington-Harrington neighborhood. The upcoming shop will have 1,000 square feet of space (which is larger than its North Cambridge and Brighton locations), and the plan is to have two entrances--one that goes to groceries and the other to ice cream. If all goes as planned, the new location of Momma's could be opening next month.
The original Momma's debuted on Massachusetts in North Cambridge in 2023, while the Brighton location opened at the Charles River Speedway this summer.
The address for the upcoming Momma's near Inman Square is 1175 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139. The website for the business is at https://www.mommasgrocery.com/
