Burmese Food Fair Coming to Allston, October 8, 2011

A culinary event is returning to Allston in early October, and it will center around a cuisine that isn't often seen in the Boston area.

According to the Overseas Burmese Christian Fellowship website, the annual Burmese Food Fair will be held on Saturday, October 8 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the International Community Church on Gordon Street (about a block west of where Cambridge Street, North Beacon Street, and Brighton Avenue intersect). The event will feature a number of different homemade Burmese food items, including assorted fried appetizers, fish soup, noodle salad, and various desserts and teas.
