Rose Town Kitchen & Bar Opens within the Canopy by Hilton Hotel in Boston

Last week, it was reported that a celebrity chef will be bringing a burger concept to a new hotel in downtown Boston, and now we have learned that another restaurant has already opened within that hotel.

According to a press release, Rose Town Kitchen & Bar is now open on the second floor of the Canopy by Hilton at North Street and Blackstone Street, with the place overlooking the Greenway by Faneuil Hall and Haymarket Square. The menu for the brasserie-style spot includes such options as seared scallops, tuna sashimi, pizza, top sirloin, roasted chicken, mussels, salmon, a Kobe beef hot dog, and a selection of cocktails.

In addition to Rose Town Kitchen & Bar, Gordon Ramsay Burger is also coming to the Canopy by Hilton, with that restaurant slated to debut later this year.

Black Lamb Is Opening in Former Stephi's on Tremont Space in Boston's South End

Earlier this year, it was reported that what was once a trio of upscale comfort food spots in Boston was going to be back down to just one, and that the people behind a few local restaurants would be opening a dining spot in its space. Now we have learned what will be going in there.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Black Lamb is planning to open in the former Stephi's on Tremont space in the South End, with the upcoming place being an "American brasserie" that will be open for lunch, dinner, and a weekend brunch and will focus on being a neighborhood spot that is "a love letter to the community." As mentioned earlier, the team behind Bar Mezzana, Shore Leave, and No Relation in the South End/Ink Block area will be running the new dining and drinking spot, which hopes to open sometime this summer. More information should be coming soon about the food and drink offerings at Black Lamb, so stay tuned for updates.

Stephi's on Tremont closed in April after being in business for approximately 10 years; another restaurant called Stephi's in Southie closed in the spring of 2018, while the original Stephanie's on Newbury remains in operation.

The address for Black Lamb is 571 Tremont Street, Boston, MA, 02118. Its Instagram page can be found at https://www.instagram.com/blacklambbos/

[July 16 update: According to a press release, Black Lamb opens this evening, with the restaurant offering such options as Parker House rolls, lamb tartare, burgers, lobster rolls, and duck breast frites along with raw bar items, and cocktails include mojitos, gimlets, and dirty martinis.]
