USA Today Includes 10 Boston Restaurants Among Its List of Most Popular Valentine's Day Spots

USA Today has come out with a list of most popular Valentine's Day restaurants, and 10 Boston dining spots are mentioned in the article.

The list, which shows restaurant picks for 10 cities based on the most Facebook check-ins on and around Valentine's Day, includes Blue Dragon, Salvatore's, Top of the Hub, Tokyo Japanese Steak House, Mare, Grill 23 & Bar, Da Vinci, FiRE+iCE, The Vault, and Mooo Restaurant. (Note: It is assumed that USA Today is referring to Bisuteki Tokyo Japanese Steak House in Cambridge, though there are three other restaurants called Tokyo Japanese Steak House in Braintree, Chestnut Hill, and Saugus as well.) USA Today says that Facebook excluded chain restaurants among these lists, though small chains/groups of dining spots were included (such as Salvatore's and FiRE+iCE).

Other cities in the USA Today list include Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.

Valentine's Day Dining in Boston, 2010

Valentine's Day is only three days away, and Boston-area restaurants are surely filling up fast with reservations. There is still time to find a dining spot to go to on Sunday, February 14, though, including some area favorites for romantic dinners. If you are looking for ideas on where to go for Valentine's Day in and around Boston, there are a few websites that might be of help, including our sister site, Boston's Hidden Restaurants. Our site has a page that lists and briefly describes some of our favorite places for romantic meals in the Greater Boston area and elsewhere in New England. The link can be found here: http://www.hiddenboston.com/RomanticRestaurants.html

Another site that has a page on Valentine's Day restaurants around Boston is BostonChefs.com. The website gives information on a number of Boston-area dining spots that are having specials for February 14, including such highly-regarded restaurants as No. 9 Park, Taranta, and Blue Ginger. The link to their page on Valentine's Day specials can be found here: Valentine's Day at Boston Restaurants

The Gayot site also has a page on Boston-area restaurants that they consider to be good choices for a Valentine's Day dinner. Included are brief descriptions of each restaurant, along with a link where you can make a reservation via the OpenTable site. Here is the link to their Valentine's Day page: The Best Boston Valentines Restaurants

Speaking of OpenTable, their website has a page that includes a huge number of restaurants in and around Boston and elsewhere in New England that are good options for the Valentine's Day weekend. And because their site focuses on restaurant reservations, each dining spot on their list includes a link where you can reserve a table. Their page can be found here: Valentine's Day - Boston Restaurant Reservations

Hopefully these pages are able to help you find a restaurant to go to for Valentine's Day. Wherever you end up going, have a great time!

Restaurants for Valentine's Day

It is hard to believe that Valentine's Day is only two weeks away. Because of the economic downturn that we are in, my guess is that restaurants might not be quite so crowded this year for Valentine's Day, but if you're looking for a romantic spot for February 14, it may be a good idea to make reservations soon. And if you aren't sure as to where you might want to go for an intimate night of dining, you might want to check out our Romantic Boston and New England Restaurants for Valentine's Day page that is a special feature within the Boston's Hidden Restaurants site. Included in this section are a number of select restaurants around New England that we think are perfect for a romantic meal because of their atmosphere, food, etc.

Also, if you know of a restaurant that you think is perfect for Valentine's Day, feel free to post it here. Thanks!
