Boston Burger Company Opening New Location in Boston's Back Bay

A burger restaurant that opened in the Davis Square section of Somerville three years ago is getting ready to expand into the Back Bay of Boston.

According to the Adam's Hospitality & Tourism Industry blog (via Craigslist), the Boston Burger Company is planning to open on Boylston Street, moving into a space just west of the Mass. Ave. intersection near The Fens. The article mentions that the new spot is going to be hiring people for all positions this week, though there does not appear to be a set opening date as of yet.

[February 29 update: The Chowder blog of Boston Magazine reports that the Back Bay location of the Boston Burger Company is looking to open by April (possibly in time for opening day for the Red Sox at nearby Fenway Park), and that it will be mostly identical to the Somerville location, with the addition of frappes being offered.]

[April 11 update: A picture sent to us via Twitter indicates that the new Boston Burger Company on Boylston Street is now open.]

The Boston Burger Company first opened in April of 2009 at 37 Davis Square, taking over the former Antonio's site. The dining spot features 24 different types of burgers as well as chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, and a variety of options for fries.

The address for this new burger spot in Boston's Back Bay is: Boston Burger Company, 1100 Boylston Street, Boston, MA, 02215. The website for the original Boston Burger Company can be found at http://bostonburgerco.com/
