The Otherside Cafe May Be Reopening in Boston's South End

A vegetarian cafe and beer bar in the Back Bay of Boston that closed its doors this spring may be coming back in one form or another, this time residing in the South End neighborhood of the city.

Universal Hub reports that the folks behind the Otherside Cafe are looking to get a lease on a space somewhere in the South End within the next four to six weeks. The article mentions that the manager of The Otherside Cafe has asked permission for up to six months of time for completion of negotiations and renovations, so it is possible that it could be 2013 before the new spot opens. In addition, it is not yet known exactly where the new eatery would be, nor is it even a given that the restaurant would be similar to that of the now-closed Newbury Street location; as soon as we find out more information on the place over the coming days and weeks, we will post an update here.

The Otherside Cafe closed in late April after being in business for approximately 20 years.
