Taste of the Nation Boston to Be Held on the Waterfront, April 18, 2013

A tasting event that helps raise money for the fight against childhood hunger is coming back to Boston in April, and this time it will be at a new location.

On Thursday, April 18, Taste of the Nation Boston will be held at Cruiseport Boston at Black Falcon Pier along the South Boston waterfront, with the event going from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM (6:00 for VIP).  As always, a number of restaurants and wineries will be at this year's event, and a silent auction and entertainment will also be part of the festivities. Honorary Chef Chairs at Taste of the Nation Boston include Jody Adams (Rialto and Trade), Joanne Chang (Myers + Chang and Flour Bakery), Gordon Hamersley (Hamersley's Bistro), Andy Husbands (Tremont 647), and Tony Maws (Craigie on Main).

Tickets to the 2013 Taste of the Nation Boston cost $95 online for general admission and $150 for VIP admission, with all proceeds going to Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit organization that looks to end childhood hunger in the United States.

[April 18 update: Tickets are no longer available online, but they can be purchased at the door for $105 (general) or $160 (VIP).]
