The Bancroft (High-End Steakhouse) Is Coming to Burlington's Northwest Park Development

It looks like a high-end steakhouse is coming to Burlington, and it will be one of a number of restaurants coming to an upcoming development in town.

The Burlington Patch is reporting that the group behind a couple of local eateries and a catering company is planning to open The Bancroft, which will be located in the new Northwest Park development on Third Avenue just north of the Burlington Mall. According to the article, the 8,500-square-foot restaurant will be a farm-to-table spot with "seasonal, locally-sourced menu options" and it will be looking to attract a "youthful, urban crowd." The Webber Restaurant Group (Gibbet Hill Grill in Groton, Scarlet Oak Tavern in Hingham, Fireside Catering in Burlington) will be running The Bancroft, with ingredients apparently coming from the 100-acre Gibbet Hill Farm.

Northwest Park will eventually have a "restaurant row" of sorts once the complex opens, with an array of non-chain eateries on the way.

There isn't a specific opening date for The Bancroft as of yet, as Northwest Park still has a ways to go before construction is complete. (Keep checking back for updates.)

[December 10 update: According to a post within the restaurant jobs section of the BostonChefs.com site, The Bancroft is planning to open in April of 2014.]

Thanks to MouseChow for bringing this to our attention.
