On Friday, June 14, the 16th annual Chef in Shorts will take place at The Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center, with the event beginning at 7:00 PM. The competition will include a grill-off between chefs who create their favorite dishes, with desserts, beer, and wine also being available to guests in addition to the BBQ items. A few of the chefs who will be at Chefs in Shorts include Jay Silva (Bambara), Jose Duarte (Taranta), Andy Husbands (Tremont 647), William Kovel (Catalyst), Sara Ross (Kickass Cupcakes), Paul Wahlberg (Alma Nove and Wahlburgers), and many others.
Tickets to the 2013 Chefs in Shorts cost $70 (complimentary beer, wine, and culinary tastings included in the price), with proceeds helping support Future Chefs, whose mission is to help prepare urban youth in the Boston area for careers in the culinary world.
