Salsa's in South Boston Has Apparently Closed

What used to be a pair of restaurants featuring Mexican and Tex-Mex food may now be completely gone, as its sole remaining location has gone dark.

An email sent yesterday mentioned that Salsa's in South Boston is now shuttered with the windows papered over, and a subsequent check on its website shows that the site is completely gone while phone calls to the Dorchester Street eatery would not go through. A few posters on the Southie Community Bulletin Board seem to confirm its closure as well, though one person says there is a "Closed for Renovations" sign out front as well.

As soon as we completely confirm that Salsa's has closed (or find out that it is indeed only closed for renovations), we will post an update here.

Salsa's first opened in South Boston back in the late 1990s; a second location of the restaurant on Route 3A in Hingham closed this summer after approximately ten years in business.

The address for this restaurant in South Boston is: Salsa's, 118 Dorchester Street, South Boston, MA, 02127.
