More on Coppa, a New Restaurant Coming to the South End

We have just received a bit more information on Coppa, a restaurant that chef Ken Oringer will soon be opening on Shawmut Avenue in the South End. According to a press release from Chris Lyons Communications, Coppa will be an enoteca, or Italian-style wine bar, with a mix of small plates, pizza, pastas, and more. Local ingredients will be used as much as possible for the dishes served at Coppa. A beer and wine list will include craft beers and Italian wines.

The press release also mentions that there will be room for 40 diners inside as well as 24 outdoor patio seats (Dish, a now-closed upscale comfort food spot that formerly resided in this location, also had an outdoor patio).

An opening of late August is expected for Coppa.

Ken Oringer's other restaurants include Clio, KO Prime, La Verdad, Toro, and Uni.
