Icarus Restaurant, a South End institution that has been serving food to diners since 1978, will be closing its doors at the end of this month. In a note from owner Chris Douglass on both Facebook and the restaurant's Web site, Icarus will be celebrating its last days and thanking its customers by having a prix fixe three-course dinner for only $31.00. A few of the options available for the special dinner will be polenta with braised mushrooms, chili-glazed pork loin with watermelon salad, corn, and poblano peppers, and passion fruit baked Alaska.
