Based on information from EveryBlock Boston and the Facebook page of Coda Bar and Kitchen in the South End of Boston, Canary Square is going to be opening on S Huntington Avenue, replacing The Alchemist, which is closing sometime around the end of this month. Canary Square will be run by the folks behind Coda and Allston's Common Ground, and according to Coda's Facebook page, it might be opening sometime in the middle of July. [November 21 update: Canary Square is now open.]
As reported earlier here (before we knew the name of the upcoming restaurant), it looks like Canary Square will probably be a bit like Coda, a restaurant and bar on Columbus Avenue that focuses on comfort food.
