A restaurant in Woburn that featured classic American fare has apparently closed its doors after being in business for less than a year.
According to a poster on Yelp, Nickel's Grille on Mishawum Road is shuttered, with a sign on the door saying "Closed - Thank you for your patronage." In addition, one of our readers emailed us, asking if the restaurant were shut down, as the parking lot has been empty for several days now. A call placed to Nickel's Grille went unanswered (and with no voicemail), a check on their website shows a mostly blank page with the page title labeled "offline," and their Twitter page no longer exists.
Nickel's Grille opened in December of 2009, replacing T.G.I. Friday's, which closed a few weeks earlier. The restaurant's menu featured such items as nachos, burgers, steaks, seafood, and pasta dishes.
The address for this restaurant in Woburn was: Nickel's Grille, 244 Mishawum Road, Woburn, MA, 01801.
