According to The Boston Globe, the former Tavern on the Green space will become a visitors center and food court. The article mentions that items such chili sesame noodle salad, Turkish tacos, and Chinese dumplings will be available at the food court, which will be in the space where Tavern on the Green's Crystal Room used to be. Tavern on the Green was a landmark dining spot that first opened in the mid-1930s, eventually becoming the highest grossing dining spot in the country. The restaurant closed this past winter, and there had been talk of another eatery moving into the space, but plans for that apparently fell through.
The former Tavern on the Green space is located along the western edge of Central Park near W 66th Street and just east of Lincoln Center.
