An upscale Asian restaurant in the South End of Boston has closed its doors after being in business for a little over a year, but the person behind it is hoping to open a new dining spot somewhere in or around the city.
According to the Boston Globe, Ginger Park on Washington Street shut down yesterday, and the space is now up for sale. The article states that the chef of the restaurant, which first opened for business in September of 2009 (replacing Banq), is planning on opening a smaller but similar restaurant, though no name or location is known as of yet.
Ginger Park featured a variety of inventive dishes, including pork and shrimp dumplings, duck prosciutto, lamb croquettes, twice-cooked pork, short rib tacos, miso-glazed eggplant, potato spring rolls, and wok-steamed bok choy.
The address for this now-closed restaurant in the South End was: Ginger Park, 1375 Washington Street, Boston, MA, 02118.
