A new upscale restaurant is coming to the Kendall Square section of Cambridge, moving into the space where a bookstore used to be.
Based on notes from meetings that have been posted on the City of Cambridge website, Meadhall is planning to open at 4 Cambridge Center, taking over the spot formerly occupied by Quantum Books, which closed about 3 years ago. It looks like Meadhall will feature an upscale but moderately-priced menu, and the restaurant will apparently be open for both lunch and dinner seven days a week, with both chef and brewer tastings planned. The notes mention that Meadhall could have a capacity of about 350, including both indoor and outdoor dining.
Meadhall was initially going to be called Dogma, but according to the meeting notes, a name change to Meadhall has been approved.
[April 27 update: According to a Twitter post from one of the folks at Meadhall, the restaurant opens today at 4:00 for drinks, and 5:00 for food. For more info, the Twitter page can be found at http://twitter.com/#!/foodiedrinks]
The address for this new restaurant in Kendall Square is: Meadhall, 4 Cambridge Center, Cambridge, MA, 02142.
