A culinary event that helps in the fight against breast cancer is coming back to the Boston area this spring, and some of the region's best chefs will be involved.
Based on information from the kintera.org site, the Massachusetts Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is once again bringing the Third Annual Chefs for the Cure to the area. The event will be held at the Viking Center Showroom in Westwood on Thursday, April 7, with the VIP hour starting at 6:30 PM, doors officially opening at 7:00, and tastings at 7:30. In addition to tastings of dishes from participating chefs, the event will also have a raffle, and people with VIP tickets will also be able to view a cooking demo. Chefs from BOKX 109 American Prime, Myers + Chang, One Bistro, 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar, Taranta, Union Bar and Grille, and others will be at the event. Tickets to the 2011 Chefs for the Cure cost $100 for general admission ($150 for VIP).
The Viking Center Showroom is located at 400 Blue Hill Drive (just off Route 128) in Westwood.
