Starting today, a popular barbecue event returns to downtown Boston in 2011 after being held at Suffolk Downs in East Boston for the past couple of years.
According to their website, the Phantom Gourmet BBQ Beach Party comes back to City Hall Plaza, with the event being held today, tomorrow, and Sunday, (June 24-26). Some familiar names are returning, include Aussom Aussie BBQ (Sydney, Australia), Joey's Texas Thunder BBQ (Texas), Chicago BBQ Company (Chicago), Jack's Down Home Barbecue (Philadelphia), Johnson's Bar-B-Que (Chesapeake, Virginia), and Firefly's Bar-B Que (Boston). One newcomer will also be at the event--Big Show BBQ (Kansas City).
Tickets for the 2011 BBQ Beach Party cost $10 and can be purchased at the event (tickets do not include food and drink). Please note that from noon to 4:00 PM today, admission is free.
Hours for the Phantom Gourmet BBQ Beach Party are 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday.
