For those of you who have never had Sri Lankan food, there are now a couple of opportunities to try some in the Boston area, as a place called Biryani Park (see our earlier article on it) has opened in Malden, and soon, a Sri Lankan event will be held northwest of Boston and will include a variety of traditional foods from that country.
According to The Sri Lanka Association of New England, the 3rd Annual Sri Lanka Day is coming to Acton on Saturday, August 13 at Nara Park (just west of Route 27 and north of Routes 2A/119) from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The event will include music, dance, arts and crafts, children's activities, and a number of different Sri Lankan foods as well as teas and spices.
The event is free to the public.
