A Thai restaurant with locations in Ipswich and Melrose is going to be opening a second Melrose restaurant, with this one being more of a full-service place that will be in the downtown area.
According to an earlier article in the Melrose Patch, Spice Thai Kitchen is planning to open on Main Street, a short distance south of its other Melrose spot on Franklin Street. (The original restaurant is located at Depot Square in Ipswich.) The new Spice Thai Kitchen looks to have a capacity of about 50, with beer and wine available, while the Franklin Street location will be used strictly for takeout and delivery. The article mentioned that the new eatery had been hoping to open in June, but it has not opened yet; as soon as we get more information on a possible opening date, we will post an update here.
Expect to see a mix of Thai-American and traditional Thai fare at the new Spice Thai Kitchen, as well as some Japanese, Korean, and Chinese dishes.
