The Taste of Provincetown is going to be taking place later this month, and this year, a well-known chef will be involved in it.
An email sent to us indicates that The Taste of Provincetown will be held on Saturday, August 27 at Provincetown Town Hall. The event, which begins at 6:00 PM, will include a number of area restaurants (including Adrian's, Bayside Betsy's, Jimmy's Hideaway, Patio American Grill, Relish and more), along with a competition called the QuickFire Challenge. Chef Tiffani Faison, who worked at Rocca in Boston's South End--and will be opening a new restuarant called Sweet Cheeks in the Fenway neighborhood--will be designing and hosting the competition, which features chefs Frank Vasello of Relish, Michael Mishkin of Victor's, and Laurence de Freitas of The Mews.
Individual tickets to the event are $125.00, with sponsorships beginning at $250.00. All proceeds go to MassEquality, a grassroots organization that works to achieve full equality for the LGBT community.
