A national survey has just come out on reasons why Americans do not cook on a regular basis, and the results may be surprising to some.
According to an article on the MarketWatch site, a survey taken by Impulse Research for Bosch Home Appliances indicates that 28 percent of people said they do not cook because they simply do not know how to cook. The MarketWatch article also mentions that more than 50 percent of people do not cook because their spouses/partners do most of the cooking. Other reasons include 25 percent saying they do not want to clean up the mess after cooking and 21 percent claiming not to have enough time to cook.
The survey was done using a random sample of 1,087 men and women ages 25 and over.
