Hair of the Dog is Coming to Boston's South End

It looks like a new cocktail bar is coming to the South End of Boston, and it will be located in the basement of an Asian restaurant.

Based on information from its website as well as a Boston Globe article, Hair of the Dog is planning to open in the basement of Jae's restaurant on Columbus Avenue (where a watering hole that is part of Jae's currently exists), with a mid-December opening expected. The 45-seat bar will be run by a mixologist named Ran Duan whose family owns Sichuan Garden in Brookline and Sichuan Garden II in Woburn, along with two other staffers from the Woburn location (where Duan works). The Globe article indicates that Hair of the Dog will likely be a place geared toward lovers of craft cocktails, as Duan's goal is to "mix cocktails that leave patrons awestruck."

The address for this upcoming bar below Jae's in the South End will be: Hair of the Dog, 520 Columbus Avenue, Boston, MA, 02118. Its website can be found at http://www.hairofthedogboston.com/
