A small group of Salvadoran and Mexican restaurants that closed its Somerville location earlier this year is going to be opening a new branch, with this one being on the North Shore.
According to the GoodMorningGloucester blog, Tacos Lupita is planning to open on Washington Street in Gloucester, apparently moving into the space where Palermo's Brick Oven Pizzeria has been (based on the photo shown within the post). Once it opens, Tacos Lupita will join existing locations in Lynn, Lawrence, and Haverhill, and it will likely be offering such items as tortas, mulitas, burritos, and gorditas.
[January 30, 2012 update: According to a more recent post from Good Morning Gloucester, the new Tacos Lupita in Gloucester plans to open tomorrow (Tuesday, January 31).]
The Somerville location of Tacos Lupita closed this past May, with another Salvadoran and Mexican spot called Aguacate Verde moving in.
The address for the upcoming Tacos Lupita in Gloucester will be: Tacos Lupita, 63 Washington Street, Gloucester, MA, 01930.
