According to the event page, the 2013 Boston Bacon and Beer Festival will be held at the House of Blues across from Fenway Park on Saturday, May 4 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, with proceeds helping support the hunger relief organizations Lovin' Spoonfuls and Community Servings. At this point in time, little information has been given on the event, with the page stating "More details to be released in coming weeks including participants, other events, and ticket on sales date. For the MOST up to date information please sign up on the mailing list."
Last year the Boston Bacon and Beer Festival was a week-long event that included a harbor cruise and an art show.

[March 25 update: More info has just been given on the Bacon and Beer Festival--the May 4 event at the House of Blues will include samplings from a number of restaurants and brewers, including Beacon Hill Bistro, jm Curley, Poe's Kitchen, Rising Sun Tavern, Trina's Starlite Lounge, Blue Hills Brewery, Ipswich Ale Brewery, New Planet Beer, and many others, with ticket prices being $43 (tickets go on sale April 5, though tickets will also be available via the Eat Boston mailing list on April 4 as well). In addition to the HOB event, the festival will also include a "Bacon de Mayo," which is a Bacon and Beer Karaoke Harbor Cruise Brunch on Sunday, May 5, and a food-themed art show at Stoddard's (partnering with Super Precious Art Gallery) featuring bacon and beer on Tuesday, May 7.
