Verona Restaurant in Watertown Has Closed

An old-fashioned Italian dining spot in Watertown has closed its doors after being in business for more than 40 years.

According to one of our readers (and confirmed by an article in The Boston Globe), Verona Restaurant on Mount Auburn Street in the center of town is no longer in business, though it is not known exactly when its last day of operation was (it appears to have closed over the winter). Verona featured a variety of Italian-American dishes, including chicken cacciatore, shrimp scampi, fettuccine alfredo, lasagna, veal parmigiana, and linguine carbonara.

The address for this now-closed Italian eatery in Watertown was: Verona Restaurant, 18 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown, MA, 02472.
