Turner's Seafood Is Opening in Salem

Earlier this month we reported that a modern American bistro in Salem had closed, and now we have learned that the folks behind a pair of seafood restaurants north of Boston plan to open a third location in its space.

The Salem Patch is reporting that Turner's Seafood has gotten approval this week from the city to open in the space where 43 Church had been (and before that, The Lyceum). Based on the Melrose and Gloucester locations of Turner's, expect to see such items as clam chowder, baked stuffed shrimp, calamari, grilled swordfish, boiled lobster, and pasta with seafood at the new outlet. It looks like the new Turner's could be opening in September.

[November 20 update: The Salem News states that the new Turner's Seafood has opened.]

The address for this new seafood spot in Salem is: Turner's Seafood, 43 Church Street, Salem, MA, 01970. Their website can be found at http://www.turners-seafood.com/

Thanks to North Shore Dish for bringing this to our attention (via the Twitter site).
