Serafina in Concord and Sierra's in Sudbury Are Reopening

Two months ago, we reported that a couple of restaurants west of Boston had closed due in part to the difficult economy. Now we have learned that both places will be reopening.

The Concord Journal states that Serafina in Concord and Sierra's in Sudbury will be opening their doors once again, with the former opening early next week and the latter opening later this month. The article mentions that owner Sam Cannarozzi has worked with town officials in Concord to get Serafina  (which is an Italian dining spot) up and running again, saying that the officials "were kind enough to hold my license without revoking it or suspending it...they were very kind." Sierra's  (which is a Mexican restaurant) will have a brand new menu when it reopens, according to the Journal.

[July 2 update: The Sudbury Patch reports that Serafina's is now open once again, with Sierra's opening in the middle of this month. The article also says that Sierra's will reopen as a sports pub with American fare, though part of the menu will have Tex-Mex food.]

[October 2 update: One of our readers says that Sierra's has reopened (this has been confirmed by OpenTable).]

The article says that Serafina first opened 12 years ago, while Sierra's has been around for 20 years.

The address for Serafina is 195 Sudbury Road in Concord, while the address for Sierra's is 470 North Road in Sudbury.
