28 Degrees in Boston's South End Has Closed

A restaurant, bar, and lounge in the South End of Boston has closed its doors.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site, 28 Degrees on Appleton Street is shuttered, with a note on the door saying that "As of September 5th, Twenty-Eight Degrees will be closed." The note goes on to say "Looking forward to an exciting new space on Appleton Street soon," so it appears that a new spot could be on the way at some point.

28 Degrees was an upscale dining and drinking establishment that featured mostly New American fare as well as a variety of cocktails, with music being provided by DJs.

The address for this now-closed restaurant in Boston's South End was: 28 Degrees, 1 Appleton Street, Boston, MA, 02116.
