Lydia Shire Is Opening a New Restaurant in Burlington

One of the best-known chefs and restaurateurs in the Boston area is planning to open a brand new restaurant, with this one being north of the city.

The Restaurant Hub blog of The Boston Globe is reporting that Lydia Shire of Scampo is looking to open a dining spot somewhere in Burlington, with the article saying that it will have a different concept from her upscale Italian/Mediterranean restaurant that resides in the Liberty Hotel on Charles Street at the foot of Beacon Hill. It looks like the new eatery--which does not seem to have a name yet--could be opening sometime this fall, according to the blog article.

Lydia Shire is also one of the people behind Towne Stove and Spirits, a dining and drinking spot that is located on Boylston Street in Boston's Back Bay, and had been involved with such now-closed landmark restaurants as Locke-Ober, Maison Robert, Pignoli, and Excelsior.
