Eater Boston is reporting that Scissors & Pie is now open on Newbury Street, taking over the former Bostone Pizza spot (Bostone pizza closed last fall after being in business for approximately five years). Very little information can currently be found on the pizzeria's website or Facebook page, with the site simply saying "Pizza is undergoing a renovation in America" and the Facebook page only having the slogan "America, meet the true Italian pizza. Made like it matters." EB does mention that a tipster purchased two slices of pizza from Scissors & Pie, which apparently came to a total of $19 (and the tipster says that the place charges by the ounce).
As soon as we find out more information about this place, we will post an update here.
[March 10 update: According to its website, Scissors & Pie indeed charges by weight, with each square "petzo" being cut using scissors.]
