Taste of Jamaica Plain to Be Held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Parish Hall, October 2, 2014

A culinary event that features the restaurants of Jamaica Plain (and other neighborhoods of Boston) is returning, and this year, it will actually be held in Jamaica Plain.

According to an article in the Jamaica Plain Gazette, the 2014 Taste of Jamaica Plain will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Parish Hall on Brookside Avenue on Thursday, October 2 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the event including food samplings, live music, a silent auction, raffle, and children's activities. A few of the restaurants that are participating include Bella Luna, Bukhara, Dogwood Cafe, Grass Fed, Ula Cafe, Vee Vee, and Wok n Talk.

Last year, Taste of Jamaica Plain was held in West Roxbury because its usual venue was undergoing renovations at the time.

Ticket to the 2014 Taste of Jamaica Plain cost $40 ($15 for children and seniors), with proceeds helping support the social service agency ESAC. For more information on the event, please go to the following link:
