The Crossing in Boston's Mission Hill Has Purchased Stadium Sports Bar and Grill in Quincy

It looks like the owners of a watering hole in Boston's Mission Hill neighborhood have purchased one of the locations of a local group of sports bars.

According to one of our readers (and confirmed by the bar, from what it appears), the people behind The Crossing on Tremont Street have bought Stadium Sports Bar and Grill in Quincy Center, with the note saying that "The Crossing Mission Hill has a BIG little brother- come visit us at The Stadium Quincy!" It is not yet known what kinds of changes might be coming to the Hancock Street dining and drinking spot--or what name might be given to it. (As soon as we find out more information, we will post an update here.)

The Crossing took over the former Curtin's Roadside Tavern space in 2009, while the Quincy location of Stadium Sports Bar and Grill opened its doors in 2009 as well. (Other locations of Stadium Sports Bar and Grill can be found in downtown Boston and South Boston.)

[January 8, 2015 update: A check on the website indicates that the Quincy location is still called the Stadium, and a phone call placed to the bar also indicates that the downtown Boston and South Boston locations have closed.]
