According to several readers, Brothers Restaurant has opened on Harvard Street, taking over the space where the Persian eatery Khayam had been. As of this writing, the new restaurant's website is extremely difficult to maneuver, but its cached pages in Google show that the place is run by chefs who have worked at such spots as Dolce Vita Ristorante in Boston's North End, Devlin's in Brighton, Sound Bites in Somerville, Broadway Diner in Arlington, Rustic Kitchen in Boston's Theatre District, Game On in the Fenway, Sorellina in the Back Bay, and others.
It appears that Brothers is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but because the website cannot be accessed, it is not known exactly what is offered; a poster on the Chowhound site does say that the breakfast menu includes such items as waffles, pancakes, French toast, and omelets, but the lunch and dinner menu cannot be seen at this point in time.
[January 28 update: The website for Brothers in Brookline is now working and its lunch and dinner menu includes such items as chili, wings, nachos, crab cakes, linguini bolognese, butternut squash ravioli, braised short ribs, orange maple-glazed salmon, fish tacos, lamb kabobs, flatbread pizza, burgers, and lobster rolls.]
The address for this new dining spot in Brookline is: Brothers Restaurant, 404 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA, 02446. Its website can be found at http://brothers-restaurant.com/
