A culinary event is on its way to the Boston area for the first time ever, and it will be raising money for Boston's Finest.
According to a press release sent this week, the Boston Police Foundation will be hosting its first annual Operation Dine Out, which will take place on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 [note--the event had been postponed on January 28 due to weather issues]. A number of local restaurants will be participating, with a percentage of their sales that day supporting the Boston Police Department; the goal of the event is to raise awareness and help fund the foundation's programs such as "Text a Tip," "Crime Watch," "Crime Stoppers," and "Officer Wellness and Safety." A few of the dining spots that are participating include Alma Nove, Cask n Flagon, Church Boston, El Pelon Taqueria, Michael's Deli, Russell House Tavern, South Street Diner, Vito's Tavern, and many others.
