According to an email sent today, Kitchen on Tremont Street is now a "New England seafood restaurant," with items on the menu including Portuguese fisherman stew, fried oysters, crab cakes, a fried haddock sandwich, mustard-crusted bluefish, lobster casserole, pan-seared scallops, and horseradish-crusted cod, with a few non-seafood items as well (burgers, short ribs, roasted chicken). The restaurant first opened in June of 2012, featuring dishes that were based on recipes from a huge collection of old cookbooks.
The people behind Kitchen also run Grotto in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood and Marliave near Downtown Crossing.
