According to an article in the Jamaica Plain News, Brad Brown of Blue Frog Bakery on Green Street is going to be opening La Rana Rossa (which means "The Red Frog" in Italian) a few blocks east in the former Cafe Bartlett Square space across from the Green Street T station. The post says that the eatery should be opening in the next couple of weeks, with bakery products offered initially, followed by lunch items such as thin-crust pizza, salads, and panini in early January, and a possible soft opening for full-service dinner (with the focus being on pizza) in February. Brown says that he is also going to apply for a beer and wine license, and he also notes that the dining spot will have an outdoor patio set up during the warmer months.
The address for this new pizza spot in JP is: La Rana Rossa, 154 Green Street, Jamaica Plain, MA, 02130.
[February 23, 2016 update: According to an article in the Jamaica Plain News, La Rana Rossa is now open for both lunch and dinner, with the place starting dinner service as of last Friday. (The place opened its doors for breakfast and lunch only last month.)]
