MuLan in Cambridge to Reopen After Being Gutted in Fire

An Asian restaurant on the western edge of Cambridge's Kendall Square that was hit by a major fire in late 2014 is planning to reopen.

Eater Boston is reporting (via a licensing board page within the city of Cambridge website) that MuLan Taiwanese Cuisine hopes to open its doors once again--possibly in three months--once repairs are completed at the Broadway spot. Both MuLan and Beauty's Pizza were gutted in a two-alarm blaze in December of 2014, with the latter also planning to reopen again soon as well, according to its website. [Ed note: Beauty's Pizza is now open in a new location.]

MuLan Taiwanese Cuisine opened a bit more than 10 years ago, taking over the space where Pho Lemon had once been. (The eatery also has a second location on Main Street in Waltham.)

The address for MuLan is 228 Broadway, Cambridge, MA, 02139. Its website is at http://www.mulan-ma.com/

[June 22, 2017 update: MuLan has not yet opened, but a Twitter post indicates that it may be opening back up again this weekend.]

[June 26, 2017 update: A new article from Eater Boston states that MuLan is open once again, and that it is larger than before, as it has taken over the former Beauty's Pizza space.]
