Boston Magazine is reporting that Union Square Donuts on Bow Street in Somerville is leasing the space in Cambridge's Inman Square where a retail shop of Grillo's Pickles had been until the business shut the shop down last winter. (Grillo's products remain available in grocery stores across the country.) The article says that Union Square Donuts has the Cambridge Street space--which is owned Clover--for two months, though it could remain in the spot beyond the two months depending on how well things go with the shop.
The satellite store opens its doors this Friday and will have hours of 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM daily (or until the donuts run out), according to Boston Magazine.
Union Square Donuts first opened its doors in a space on Somerville Avenue in Union Square in February of 2013, moving to its present spot a few months later. It is known for such donuts as maple bacon, Boston cream, sea salted bourbon caramel, orange cardamom poppy seed, and more.
The address for the satellite location of Union Square Donuts in Inman Square is 1075 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139. The website for the business can be found at http://unionsquaredonuts.com/
