Home Cafe in Brockton Is Reopening After Damage from Flooding

A bar pizza spot that was shut down due to major flood damage earlier this year appears to be getting ready to reopen.

A Facebook post from Home Cafe in Brockton shows a sign that simply says "Opening Soon," with a note from the North Main Street bar indicating that it will post more information about the reopening very soon. On January 21, a water main burst outside the spot and thousands of gallons of water poured into the basement and came up through the floor of the bar in a few places. At the time, owner Paul Stewart wasn't sure about reopening Home Cafe, as a similar situation happened in 2007 and resulted in the bar being closed for many months.

Home Cafe has been featured by our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) as an under-the-radar spot that is one of the best places in the region for bar pizza. The review can be found at the following link:
