Big Pig BBQ Plans to Open Restaurant and Market in Chelsea

A catering company on the North Shore that focuses on barbecue is looking to open a restaurant, market, and deli, with the catering business also being in the space as well.

The Chelsea Record is reporting that Big Pig BBQ plans to move into a space on Eastern Avenue in Chelsea that would include a restaurant, a retail store, a commercial kitchen, and office space, with most of the business coming from the catering operation. Eater Boston says that the company--which is currently based in Peabody--first started out in 2008 and has been a caterer for weddings, parties, and corporate events, offering such items as pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs, chicken, sirloin, burgers, hot dogs, corn bread, macaroni and cheese, and more.

The address for this proposed barbecue spot is 300 Eastern Avenue, Chelsea, MA, 02150. The website for the business can be found at http://www.bigpigbarbecue.com/
