A licensing board page within the City of Boston website indicates that Our Father's Deli plans to open in Allston, and it will indeed be coming to 197 North Harvard Street, apparently in the Continuum luxury apartment development. The listing says that the eatery will have a dining and bar area and a deli counter, and it will also have an outdoor patio during the warmer months. Earlier, we had mentioned that the Franklin Restaurant Group (Franklin Cafe, Citizen Public House and Oyster Bar, Tasty Burger) would be behind it, and this remains the case, as Franklin partner and chef Brian Reyelt is listed as the manager.
Our Father's Deli, which is slated to be a "modern deli and full service restaurant," had been hoping to open late this summer; it is not yet known if this is still the case.
[June 8 update: According to a post from Universal Hub, Our Father's Deli looks to be Jewish-American delicatessen that would be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and would offer such items as pastrami and roasts. (The licensing board heard about the plans today and is expected to make a decision on it tomorrow.)]
[August 25 update: Zagat states that Our Father's Deli (or simply "Our Father's," as Zagat calls it) plans to open in October.]
[December 7 update: A tweet from @kcbaskin of The Boston Globe states that Our Father's opens on Tuesday, December 12.]
