The Boston Globe mentions that Jason Santos is planning to open a place called Buttermilk and Bourbon in the Back Bay this fall, with the Southern-influenced eatery having "the energy of Toro and the food of Hungry Mother." An article from Eater Boston states that the 150-seat restaurant plans to offer such items as oyster chowder, boiled peanut hummus, oysters, house-fried chicken, and barbecue shrimp, while also serving an array of bourbon drinks, batch cocktails, and--according to the Globe--Scorpion bowls. It appears that Buttermilk and Bourbon may also have a small bar with champagne on tap, according to both posts.
Jason Santos is behind Abby Lane on Tremont Street in the Theatre District and Back Bay Harry's on Berkeley Street in the Back Bay, and he is also known in part for being on the Fox reality TV show Hell's Kitchen in 2010.
