Truck Drives into Square Cafe in Hingham, Injuring Three

A South Shore bistro is closed for the time being after a truck crashed into the restaurant Friday night, injuring three people.

WCVB 5 is reporting that a truck veered off of North Street in the center of Hingham at around 10:00 PM and smashed into the Square Cafe, injuring two people in the dining spot along with a passenger in the vehicle. The article says that the driver of the truck was arrested on several charges, though police say that he was not impaired at the time of the crash.

A Facebook post from the Square Cafe mentions that the two people in the restaurant who were hurt are now out of the hospital and that the place is "cleaning up" and hopes to reopen on Wednesday.

The address for the Square Cafe is 150 North Street, Hingham, MA, 02043.

[August 31 update: A new Facebook post from the Square Cafe states that it has been given approval to reopen today.]
