According to an article in the Braintree Forum, the town has approved of liquor and restaurant licenses for Davio's, which may open in the space within the South Shore Plaza where Rodizio Grill had been. The post says that construction on the eatery is expected to begin sometime next year, though no specific opening date has been given as of yet. Once it opens, the new location of Davio's will join others in Boston's Park Square, Chestnut Hill, Foxboro, and Lynnfield, along with Manhattan, Philadelphia, King of Prussia, PA, and Atlanta.
Davio's traces its roots back to 1985, when Steve DiFillippo purchased a restaurant with that name on Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay. Today, the group of dining spots is known for its steaks, seafood, pasta dishes, and more.
