Hillstone Restaurant in Boston's Faneuil Hall Is Closing

It looks like a small chain of upscale restaurants is closing its Boston location.

According to an email sent by someone connected with the dining spot, Hillstone in Faneuil Hall will be shutting down on October 15, with the note mentioning that the lease is up for the restaurant, A member of the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group also mentioned its closing last night, while a Twitter poster says the same thing.

The Boston location of Hillstone, which was formerly called Houston's until it was rebranded in 2010, offered steaks, seafood, burgers, pasta dishes, and more in a classy but casual setting. The family-owned chain is based in Beverly Hills and has 16 locations across the country, including three in New York City.

[October 11 update: A Facebook post from Hillstone confirms that it is indeed closing on October 15, with the note saying "Dear Boston, it has been an honor to be of service to you for so many years....Thank you for the wonderful memories...it has been a privilege."]
